cleaning up.

As y’all should know by now, I’m scooting off to Sydney to start a new chapter North-Side with my sister from another mister KK. This is my last week working in the place I like to call the Indigo Batcave… it’s warm & full of love and I am going to miss being here terribly.

In an effort to appear professional I am in the process of deleting all my pictures/ emails/ bullshit that I have accumulated over the past 18 months so my replacement doesn’t think I was slacking off on the job. Hello, it’s called a lunch break.

Anyway, I am finding this task rather testing to say the least. Where do you draw the line between ‘keepers’ and ‘thrower-aways’? The emails are BY FAR the hardest to delete. Heart-felt ditties from my special someones that still give me goosies every time I read them. You may refer to this as ‘emotional cutting’ but give me a mother flippin’ break, I’m only human.

On a not-so-emotional level, here’s probably the funniest email I have ever received (from Cabana Boy, who else?)

Can you get someone to look at the back of your neck for you please. Remember I was drawing on you with that biro last night…. it might still be there as sometimes biro is hard to get off.

zap daddy.

Hey, serious question guys…. what’s better out of grape and strawberry flavoured Zappo’s? Seriously. I only ask because I stood at the Milk bar counter this morning like a freaking retarded zombie for the better part of ten minutes umming and ahhing between the two. What did you get, what did you get? Strawberry! Regretfully! I think? Or is it the better one? Somebody answer me, please.

Anyway the candy is looooooong gone and I am eagerly awaiting the inevitable sugar buzz that is screaming towards me as we speak. Hopefully. Lord knows I need it. But why old chap? Well I had me a pretty effing good night with a pretty rad and random crew of lovers and brothers from various mothers, that’s why.

From the funniest conversation I have ever been involved in sitting outside Tusk all the way to Colonel Tans Thai kitchen for a late night feed, it was a true treasure of an evening.

Ps Nisa coloured in my eyebrows with mascara and I look totally hardcore, just saying.

and the winner is….

SYD-EN-NEY! Yes kids that’s right! I’m heading north for a while. And good golly miss Molly am I glad to be sharing this with you. Staying quiet and keeping secrets is not my strong suit, so this has been like total torture….

But now the cats outta the bag and we can talk Skids until the cows come home. (Too many animal related metaphors, sorry). Speaking of cats, look what Colombia sent me!

week end.

Ya huh, that time again! Amazing. (Ever noticed how often I say amazing? Well, now you will & it will probs bug you to no end. Not amazing.) I’m off to get buzzed with my little scallywag of a brother as we celebrate his 21st. Hey Mitch guess what? I’ve invited all my friends! Mum & Dad are coming! I’m going to get drunk & tell embarrassing tales to all the young babes that are there! Say it with me now, ahhhhh-mazing.

Also on the agenda for my jammy packed weekend is some serious roommate bonding, a Camberwell market stall (come buy things!) and a pretty standard bike/ beer sitcho somewhere in St Kilda on Sunday. On Monday let’s all reflect on the wonder that is a long weekend and get ready for a super short week.

Amazing.

week end.

Good lordy lord the weeks are just flying by at the momento. I cannot believe we already seen seven moons since I was last here, bidding a dew to the office & getting my party skates on. But guess what babes, it has been! And I’m happy to report there has been no more ‘bad energy’ in mi casa causing sleepless nights and grumpy guts. In fact, this week was pretty damn good really.

Well except for the fact that my cabana boy was struck down with a life threatening illness. But don’t fret and wipe that nervous sweat off your forehead because my Cabana Boy is one tough choc-chip cookie and has marched triumphantly away from the enticing light.

All in all, a successful week I think we’d say? As Matt Damon in True Grit would annoyingly yell while riding off horseback, ayyy-dios!

crazy pants.

So apparently nothing brings a community together like an A-List star going ‘whoa nelly’ crazy? Yep you guess it, old mate Chaz Sheen. Pretty funny feature on LifeLounge here.

from colombia, with love.

top five.

1. The return of Glee. I have been debating admitting that I love Glee for some time now… Cabana boy insists you guys will understand but a large part of me believes I just lost a punt load of street cred. True? Either way my friends, I am a red-hot Gleek . Monday nights at our place go OFF with show tunes and over rehearsed dance routines.

2. My new Neil Diamond – Greatest Hits vinyl. Darling Ballerina totally hooked a sister up with a gift from Camberwell Markets this morning. Gotta love any new addition to my fast-growing record collection. FYI Bushy eyebrows have never looked so good.

3. Water. Yes you heard me, water. After sticking it out in the sweltering 40 degree heat yesterday at Big Day Out I am rehydrating, and then hydrating again. God dammit it was hot, but LCD Soundsystem single-handedly made the sweat bath worth it. They were in-sane.

4. Yellowbird in Windsor. Nothing new, have been going there for years but lately they have been better than ever. Why? Can’t really tell you. But they have been playing a lot of Beck and Pixie’s lately so that can’t hurt.

5. My darling heart best friend love of my life is returning home from a nine month trek around the world (selfish). Can’t wait. Seriously, hurry up Saturday.

snow skate.

I’m not that into snow, kinda more of a beach/ sun person myself. But big ups to these clever cats and their backyard snow ramp.

ohhhhh hey.

Yes that’s right kids, I’m back! After a month hiatus from the starkest of realities I’m back in Melbourne, back at work, back at my mother effing desk watching the rain outside my window. Wow, someone get me an upper quick sticks before I do something rash….

So major apologies for the being the worlds slackest blogger but I’ve been roadtrippin’ around the traps for the past week & been way too busy sinking tinnies and lying on the beach to worry about you lot. Just kidding, I love you.

Anywho, the wheels are back in motion and big changes are on the horizon. It’s all very exciting. And equally exciting is how extremely rad 2011 is already shaping up to be. So stay tuned y’all, my keyboard is begging for some lovin’ and that’s what I plan on giving it.
